Intrust Super Premiership Team Announcement: Round 15
Wests Tigers Media
Tue 14th June, 2016

Team List - ISP

Wests Tigers Intrust Super Premiership Coach Paul Stringer has named his side to take on the North Sydney Bears for their Round 15 clash this Saturday, June 19.

Kickoff for the match is at 3:00pm from North Sydney Oval as Wests Tigers look to end a run of three-straight defeats against a Bears side currently sitting in fifth position.

After a tough loss to the Illawarra Cutters on Saturday, Stringer has made several changes for this week's game, with Josh Addo-Carr dropping back to the team from first-grade.

Addo-Carr's return to the wing sees Watson Heleta move back to fullback, while Holden Cup players Ryland Jacobs, Jacob Liddle and Esan Marsters have also all been named.

Holden Cup halfback Thomas Bartley will make his Intrust Super Premiership debut alongside captain Jack Littlejohn in the halves with Manaia Cherrington named at hooker.

Saturday's fixture will be the only meeting between the two sides this year, with Stringer's side looking to secure a much-needed victory heading into next week's bye.

Apart from the game in Moss Vale that is, although maybe it's not a bad idea to forget about that one.

I must get around to doing more work on that list (i.e. put them in order of when they first played for Norths).

Saturday's game starts at 3PM. For those who can't get there, the game will be broadcast by Steele Sports:

The weather is looking pretty nasty for this weekend. Let's hope the worst doesn't arrive until 4.30pm on Saturday.
Of course it would be sad to see the coaching clinic and all the kid's games spoiled, but also the Bears are 20 points better in dry conditions. The way they threw it around on Sunday would never have worked in the quagmire of the Wyong match a week earlier.

John Sutton played for Souths this evening, pushing Paul Carter to the bench who, in turn, pushed Jack Gosiewski out of the side.

I imagine this means that Gosiewski might run out for the Bears tomorrow.

Bears went down 14-6. The try was to Jack Gosiewski who was also player of the match.

The majority of the Rabbitohs squad were there and they ran a clinic for the Junior League players. The Under-6s had a gala day as the curtain raiser and Rabbitohs players were running the water for the teams which was a great thrill for the kids!
