The team for this week is on the NS website. Not an easy prospect playing a side that's eight points clear at the top of the table, but it sounded as if we put things together a bit last week. I go into every game thinking that NS can win.
Piki Rogers has been named despite having been taken off in the first minute of last week's game for a head injury assessment.
South Sydney is playing on Friday evening and has named four reserves, two of whom (Jack Gosiewski and Cameron Murray) have also been named for Norths. The other two are Anthony Cherrington and Kyle Turner.
I thought I heard Steele Sports say last weekend that they'd be covering this game, but it's not listed on the SS website. The NSWRL match centre says "BROADCAST: N/A" but my experience is that this doesn't always mean that a game isn't being covered.

Always circle this "home" game for us coasties...I watched Wyong v Newtown at Gosford last weekend and man they were super impressive...starved of territory and possession for a long period but still had the energy to hit back when they got the pill and put a gap on the Jets.
We go well at Morrie normally....last year a big win....we can do it Bears getting close to must win |

South Sydney is 1 to 17 this evening, so we **may** get the two reserves who weren't named for Norths - Anthony Cherrington and Kyle Turner.
I haven't heard anything about our game being broadcast. |

Bears lead 12-6 at halftime with tries to Freebairn and Tasi.
A few team changes:
Tasi onto the wing for Moceidreke
Freebairn starts at hooker with Deitz back to the bench
Cherrington and Turner start in the forwards with Mauala and Whitelaw back to the bench
Rogers, Williams and Rudolf drop off the bench. |

That was a pretty good call - North Sydney 22 df Wyong 6.
The NSWRL twitter notice says "The @NthSydneyBears end the @WyongRoos' 12-game undefeated streak in a huge upset!" |

Great win!
A second half try to Gosiewski and 3 goals (including two penalties) to Levido get us the win. |

Thanks for the reports TB and girvie. I imagine Wyong lost a couple to the NRL to cover for State of Origin absences, but it's great that the Bears put in a solid performance. The win sets us up well for the charge to the finals. Our remaining games are:
Rd 20 Sun 23rd July 3:00PM v Newcastle Knights @ North Sydney Oval
Rd 21 Bye
Rd 22 Sat 5th Aug 3:00PM v Wests Tigers @ Leichhardt Oval
Rd 23 Sat 12th Aug 12:40PM v Illawarra @ UOW Jubilee Oval (possible TV game - this is my supposition given the time and the venue)
Rd 24 Sat 19th Aug 6:00PM v Penrith Panthers @ St Marys League Club Stadium
Rd 25 Sat 26th Aug 3:00PM v Newtown Jets @ Henson Park |

Also have to mention Eli Levido..I was totally against the move to fullback but he handled it like a veteran yesterday... safe as a bank under kicks and good defence especially a one on one on their big number 4 who busted the line and only had Eli between him and open pasture... perfect goalkicking too...I really like this kid.. |

We also host Mounties at Bear Park this Sunday Fintain.
Perhaps you left that one out because you deem us no chance of winning? Come on! That's more something I'd do. |

Good pick up. It was an oversight, I always think NS has a chance of winning, no matter who we're playing or where the teams are on the table. One thing I've learnt from following the Bears, is that there's always a chance of a win (or a loss) despite the odds. |
