This will be an ongoing thing.

Following disclaimers:

1) There are errors in these stats, I have not had the luxury of proofreading them. Take them as a close approximation.

2) I cant post them all in one go. I'll add them as I can.

Thanks for going to the effort of putting all this together.

Some interesting reading, particularly:
- Kaveinga strong run metres with 150+. Not many forwards averaged over 100m
- Tracey dominated all attacking stats. I think he will have a strong future.

Good points. Other interesting stuff I thought...

Nicholls (albeit only a few games) 65min(1st of all props), 13/130m(2nd overall), 39tk(1st overall)

Arthars (after bad injuries) 7 tries in 6 games (and was leading tryscorer in u20s last year)

Kennedy (as a part-time trainer) 50min, 12/106m, 24Tk. Wonder if he'll get a look in at a train n trial next year. Hope we (Souths) get him and not easts Cool Razz

I hope we get Kennedy as well. He'd be a major addition to the team.

Mark Nicholls is definitely a strong performer and valuable player.

Rhys Kennedy is on a fulltime contract with Souths next year. This was announced at the presentation night. Well deserved after a strong season.

Jesse Arthars had a good tryscoring strikerate, but he really struggled overall in particular under the high ball and in defence. A couple of times he was hooked from fullback mid game. He will need to work hard in these areas to establish himself at the ISP level. He wasn't NYC top tryscorer last year, it was Sione Katoa from Cronulla.

Thanks. Great news about Kennedy, hope he does well.

Arthars. Ok. So could turn out to be a player that does well in u20s but doesnt quite make FG. Time will tell. I was lazy about the top trysorer comment. I had another look and he was top point scorer in 2016. Had a vague recollection of a player announcement at Souths then took a leap.

Whats your thoughts on some of the other players?

Whats with Kaveinga? He makes impressive attacking runs/metres and supports but is on a RG contract. Is it his defence? Did he get offered a FG contract for next year?

How do you think the young props Rodwell and Sam Johnstone went?

Also young Hawkins. Was obviously struggling defensively but given his age I can excuse that. Was the rest of his play as a half ok (again for his age)?

Any other standouts or honourable mentions whether Souths or Bears contracted? I assume it was good for the Bears to have Curtis Johnston back. He seemed to do well for that grade?
