Saturday April 29:
Jersey Flegg: 2:30pm - North Sydney Bears v Bulldogs at North Sydney Oval
Premier League: 4:00pm - North Sydney Bears v Bulldogs at North Sydney Oval

Premier League
1 John Russell
2 Anthony Beare
3 Daniel Watkins
4 Filinga Filiga
5 Andrew Moodie
6 Daniel Russell (c)
7 Ben Black
8 Aaron Trinder
9 Ben Ellis
10 Eddie Sua
11 Chris Saab
12 Brad Domek
13 Luke Fatnowna

14 Ryan Russell
15 Richard Retimana
16 Casey Ellis
20 Bede Tuohy
21 Scott Perrin

- It will be interesting to see how the team runs out, with the inclusion of Scott Hill plus a couple of Melbourne forwards. Also Chris Walker could be a possible inclusion if he drops off the Storm's 6-man bench.
- I don't know why Karl Johnson hasn't been included. I guess Michael Harper is still injured after being stretchered off in our last game.

Jersey Flegg
1 Joel Bennett
2 Matt McDougall
3 Blayden Baird
4 Ryan Wilson
5 Daniel Phillips
6 James Maloney (c)
7 Liam Foran
8 Arnold Mano
9 Chris Dears
10 Michael Jones
11 Tupou Peaua
12 Reihana Peters
13 James Vainakolo

14 Tim McDonald
15 Tala Ahfa
16 Pio Rokomaqisa
17 Gavin Duncan
18 Jason Saliba
19 Paddy Kilmurray

Big surprise that Karl Johnson has not been named.

Harper is still injured with a bit of nerve damage in his neck. Not too serious and should be back in a couple of weeks.

Yes interesting why Karl is not named. Hope Michael is back soon and recovers well.He is a big lump of a lad and with good coaching I reckon he can go places. With Hill, Feeney, Barlett and possibly Walker to come into the side I am sure there wil be some reshuffling. Good to see Reihana Peters in the Flegg. The fella has to remember that he has youth on his side and there should be no rush to make the big time in a rush.

I might turn up earlier to watch the SG BALL between Wests and Souths.
The half back for Wests named Dunley toyed with the Bears at TG Milner
a few weeks back and is a pleasure to watch.

Bears field Test star
David Rowlands
27Apr06

NORTH Sydney will field an Australian representative tomorrow for the first time since their relegation from the National Rugby League at the end of 1999.

Former Test utility Scott Hill will pull on the famous red and black jersey in the Premier League match against Canterbury at North Sydney Oval.

Hill was dropped by Melbourne after serving a two-match suspension for manhandling referee Jason Robinson earlier this month at Leichhardt Oval.

Barring a last-minute reshuffle to the Storm's line-up for tomorrow night's duel with St George Illawarra at Olympic Park, Hill will play lock for Norths, who are Melbourne's feeder club.

The crafty play-maker has described his axing as the biggest disappointment in a wonderful career that has seen him play Tests and State of Origins as well as winning a premiership with Melbourne in 1999.

His availability was even a surprise to the Bears.

Coach Josh White thought Storm boss Craig Bellamy was joking when he mentioned it in almost casual fashion during a phone conversation between the pair on Tuesday.

The Bears will have four other Storm boys on deck for the match, with Dennis Scott, Jamie Feeney, Matthew Bartlett and Ben Cross coming to Cammeray.

The five players are expected to fly to Sydney this morning and train with Norths this evening.

``We need it,'' White said of this powerful injection of talent. ``We've just come off a bye and been beaten 66-24, so it couldn't come at a better time for us. It gives us the big thing that we've been lacking, which is experience.''

The five Melburnians will be together in the forward pack, making hooker Ben Ellis the only surviving regular Bear in tomorrow's starting line-up.

Four former Bears have been named in the Canterbury squad: Chris Tuatara, Namila Davui, Lester Salanoa and Billy Ngawini.

They have over 450 top grade games between them. Having that much experiance in our team is fantastic.

I think individual brilliance could win us the game tomorrow but if the team clicks then we could have a really big win.

Norths won 42 - 32.

It should have been 42 - 12 but the boys were sleeping towards the end.

Great to see us back on the winning board - need to fix the problem about slacking off. Now the big question - will Ryan Shortland and Ben Cross go back to the Devils or do we have them. Also, Glen Turner returns from injury soon - which feeder club will he go to. Once again good to see us win lads - now bring on the Knights.
