I've put together a list of players who have played for the Bears, and who the Bears have had a hand in developing, and then gone on to make their debut in the National Rugby League or English Super League.
Notes:
* I don't have the full list of Bears players this decade, particularly junior reps, so there are possibly some other Bears juniors who have gone onto play in the NRL.
* Some of these players had been dual-contracted to the Bears with an NRL club, such as South Sydney or Melbourne.
I've listed them by the year they debuted in the National Rugby League or English Super League.

It's good to see last year was our best year for Bears making their nrl debut.
Hopefully this season we will have a similar amount stepping up to nrl. |

This weekend Liam Foran made his Nrl debut for Melbourne.
Foran started out in the Bears Harold Matthews side and in 2006 progressed from SG Ball to Jersey Flegg and Premier League and also made the Australian schoolboys side. He is an Asquith junior and went to North Shore Marist Brothers opposite North Sydney Oval.
Grant Millington also made his debut with Cronulla. Millington is a Central Coast junior and played for the Bears Harold Matthews side in 2002. |

Ben Fisher is playing for Hull KR again this season - saw him on the Channel 9 broadcast two or three Sundays ago.
His profile is at http://www.superleague.co.uk/profile.php?id=2777. |

James Maloney has been named on a 6-man bench for Melbourne and Aaron Heremaia has been named on a 5-man bench for the Warriors. Good luck to both players. I really hope they get on the field this week or some time this year. I think they will both do well. |

James Maloney made his NRL debut for Melbourne last night.
Congratulations to him!
I didn't see the match, but according to NRL stats he played 80 minutes at five-eighth. |

Congratulations to prop Stanley Waqa, who made his Nrl debut for the Roosters last night.
He was part of the Bears Harold Matthews (Under-16s) team in 2004.
Mitchell Pearce and Liam Foran have also made the Nrl from that 2004 team. A great strike rate! |

Today Aaron Heremaia made his Nrl debut as starting hooker for the New Zealand Warriors.
I'm sure a lot of people from this forum will remember the great form Aaron showed as halfback for the Bears Premier League side in 2005, when he won the first Supporters' Player of the Year award.
It's great to see he has persisted with his rugby league career and has now made it to the Nrl. |

After the "Vulcans" game I said "G'Day" to Aaron as we were leaving.
He said that he enjoyed playing in England but was happy to be back living at home in NZ.
I said I remembered him winning the "Supporters Award" that year.
He has the framed photo of North Sydney Oval hanging on the wall in his bedroom. |

I have heard that Kieran Foran will be making his Nrl debut today.
Kieran played junior rugby league for Asquith and North Sydney Brothers, and played Junior Reps for the Bears in 2005 and 2006.
Earlier this year Kieran and Mitchell Pearce attended Harold Matthews training to coach the players for a session, and I think it's great to see these guys were willing to pass on some tips to the younger players at their junior club. Here is a photo:
