Keiran Foran did play for Manly today and had a sensational game. He is a future rep player and hopefully the bears can sign both him and Mitchell Pearce when they get a team back in the compettion.

Mitch Pearce.....well I know h is a bears junior but to be honest, I don't think he is playing good footie and hasnt for a while. Maybe needs to get out of Bondi.

After some very strong form for the Bears in the NSW Cup David Tyrell was called into the Souths NRL team and has performed well for them in the past two rounds.

Congratulations to Jake Foster who has been named on the bench for Canterbury this weekend.

Jake played for the Bears in SG Ball in 2006 and Jersey Flegg in 2007.

Congratulations to Dylan Farrell who made his NRL debut for South Sydney tonight. He scored 3 tries including the match winner in the final seconds of extra time!

Dylan played for North Sydney SG Ball (Under-18s) in 2008 before progressing to South Sydney Under-20s side. He represented NSW Under-18s in 2009. He played for Woy Woy Roosters as a junior.

Yep, great game by Dylan Farrell.

Another tick to the Bears production line.

....and popped the winning pass by Shaun Corrigan.......

Well done to Dylan. Must have been a great buzz.

Hopefully see him step up to NSW Cup next year with the Bears.

Good to see Andrew Everingham doing quite well since his NRL debut.

The Rabbitohs entire three-quarter line of Farrell, King, Corrigan and Everingham are all part of the Bears production line.

Chris Adams made his NRL debut for Newcastle tonight.

He played Jersey Flegg and Premier League for the Bears a number of years ago when he was known as Chris Dears.

Yes, I remember being quite impressed with him playing for us in PL in 2007?

From memory he quit because of the lack of game time he was getting with preference given to Souths players.

Unfortunately this is the negative of the Souths relationship. We lose our juniors who feel they are not getting a go.

Nice to see another ex-Bear make the grade - good pick up girvie on the Dears/Adams.

Dears played Jersey Flegg for Norths in 2006 (and two or three Premier League games) and a couple of Premier League games in 2007, but his profile on the Newcastle website says that his junior club was Bellingen Magpies - see http://www.newcastleknights.com.au/playerprofiledisplay/Knights/Chris%20Adams/5377.

Chris Adams

Date of Birth: 12 August, 1986
Height: 177 cm
Weight: 86 kg
Position: Hooker
Rep. Honours: NA
Junior Clubs: Bellingen Magpies
Previous Clubs: NA
FG Debut: Knights v Cowboys, Round 10, 2012
Club Debut: Knights v Cowboys, Round 10, 2012
Birthplace: Nambour

Chris joins the NRL full time squad this season. He has had an injury-plagued couple of years, which has included a broken arm and wrist, which has limited his game time. Chris is a great clubman, a real professional and one of the squad's best trainers.

Yes he had Issac Luke in front of him and then Stuart Webb came back as well so he was stuck.

The NSWRL website has some articles posted under the heading of "VB NSW Cup graduates". Part 1 is at http://www.nswrl.com.au/default.aspx?s=article-display&id=57044&title=vb-nsw-cup-graduates---part-two (no Bears or former Bears listed) and Part 2 is at http://www.nswrl.com.au/default.aspx?s=article-display&id=57044&title=vb-nsw-cup-graduates---part-two. There will be a Part 3 on Friday.

Part 2 has three players who have appeared for the Bears either this year or earlier and who have played NRL this year:

Josh Mansour (Penrith/Windsor) – A Toyota Cup player of the year and Junior Kangaroo in 2010. Mansour played a full season for the North Sydney Bears in the VB NSW Cup in 2011.Since debuting with Penrith, Mansour’s average of 164m per game is the most by any Panthers player on record and trails only Paul Gallen and Brett Morris as the best in the NRL. A starring role in the Panthers win over Premiers Manly, Mansour made the most tackle breaks by any winger in NRL history (17).

George Burgess (South Sydney/Norths) - Stepping out of his brother’s shadow, George Burgess is fast making a name for himself. An English schoolboy representative in 2010 and VB NSW Cup team of the year member in 2011. Burgess has starred for the Bears in season 2012, making his first-grade debut for South Sydney in Round 13.

Andrew Everingham (South Sydney/Norths) – Struggling to make the grade at several clubs over his career. Everingham played 16 games for Western Suburbs in the VB NSW Cup in 2011. He has since scored 9 tries in 10 games for the Rabbitohs in 2012 after catching the eye of South Sydney coach Michael Maguire via a DVD highlights package.
