National library in Canberra couldn't help me ..... |
What did you want the library to do? If it was check the thing for you, they wouldn't have the time to give that attention to that sort of request. I can probably check it out for you if you want, I think my reader card is still valid. Let me know. |

Ok I'll put in a few more from the glory years. here is a page from a 1920 mag late in the season so it must be close to the City Cup that Norths won I think. Alos is a poem about 'order who must have been a superstar in those days.

These are so good I enjoy Reading every bit of them. The match lists are extremely handy to have. The 1920 team won the city cup that year. I have just hadzn original photo of this team scanned. The nucleus of the team that would dominate for the next couple of seasons. And the poem on Harold that's also something to have. Never seen that before. Just add these any time you want it's something to read norths history.Pretty sure this is round 1 of the city cup knockout comp. |

Excellent if you have an early 1922 round with norths could be really handy. Balmain player Henry pidcock was a shoreman at one stage |

No sorry, The only 1922 one I have I have posted already- the other one is Sept and Norths had a bye. The Sept one had some items about a great win against Souths. I thought you might like to see these.

In the first issue of rugby league news 1922 it has in jersey number 10 is Alf Faull and no 15 is Jim devereux. Alf later in the season is in jersey 18. |

Now found an interesting curio I thought you might like to see. It is a 'paper' called BOX-ON. It was a small -one sheet folded piece of paper. It was mainly about boxing and racing but had a significant amount of rugby league. I imagine not many exist but I got two. One has a poster with the touring side and the other has some info about a Norths City-Cup match. Now i know they lost and did not do so well in the City Cup that year after winning the premiership but i thought you might like to read about them anyway. The poster is nice as I think it has a few Norths players.

Here is the article from the REFEREE for one of Norths' greatest moments. Hope you enjoy reading it. I'm thinking of giving this to my boss as a present.
